DIA’s a Toronto based singer/songwriter with a powerful yet dynamic voice that is resonant and artistic - filled with virtuosic nuances that embrace many diverse cultures. With a Master’s Degree in Ethnomusicology and the ability to sing in 31 languages, DIA has developed her eclectic sound and artistry through over 15 years of professional performance and songwriting.

DIA has headlined and performed at countless festivals including The PanAm Games, Luminato Festival, CHIN Picnic, various Jazz Festivals, and internationally in the US, Central and South America. DIA comes from a very musical family and started performing at age 11 with her grandfather’s Italian folk band, “I thought everyone performed… it was all I ever knew at home,” she says. Her songwriting and language abilities have opened doors to incredible opportunities like writing and performing on the soundtrack for the Canadia/Dutch/Italian feature film "Tulipani" that premiered at TIFF.

DIA is truly a voice of multiculturalism and a product of her Canadian environment. She's been asked to feature on numerous Canadian World Music projects and performances within the Iranian, Turkish, Brazilian, Spanish and Italian communities. Her debut album “Desire” - a collaboration with Canadian award-winning producer Arnold Lanni, was released summer 2018. Now in 2021, her newest collaboration with Iranian-Canadian music producer, performer and songwriter, KC Bondar is sure to gain attention. Their synergy creates a new sound - one that is modern and moody, soulful and tantalizing with worldly nuances. Musicianship, soundscape and heavy lyrical content showcases their over 35 combined years of experience within the music creation and cultural industries.

"DIA is a unique cultural innovator who brings multiculturalism to the forefront for music lovers.  Her voice itself is reminiscent of so many cultures and her music is reflected of her global influences."
-Lenny Lombardi,  President CHIN Radio/TV International
"It is a compelling work that can best be defined as 'global pop.' The lyrics are English, and the overall sound is polished adult contemporary, but the judicious use of world music instruments adds rich atmospheres and textures to the
well-crafted compositions and her music is reflected of her global influences."
-Kerry Doole,  Published Arts and Music Journalist
"For me, DIA doesn’t sound like every other female singer, her voice is uniquely hers. She has a deeper, richer tone full of
emotion and she can evoke the most incredible complex feelings with the slightest nuance. I especially love how she embraces
her love of all types of different ethnic music, seamlessly infusing it into everything she sings to create her own singing style.”
-Arnold Lanni,  Diamond award-winning Producer and Songwriter
