International singer and songwriter DIA, also known as the "voice of multiculturalism," hails from Toronto, Canada. Singing in 32 languages, DIA's versatility shines in electronic dance, pop, jazz, and R&B genres, captivating audiences and listeners with her energy and expressive voice.
Following her impactful 2018 debut EP, "Desire," she released her summer hit "Limonata," produced by Iranian-Canadian KC Bondar, that was played on beach and club radios across Europe in 2022. DIA's most recent collaboration with Italian electronic music producer DAKARA resulted in the dance/pop single "Keep the Control," launched in 2023, showcasing her dynamic evolution into electronic dance music.
Beyond music and lyrics, DIA's literary debut, "Ink or Lead," became a #1 bestseller in "Canadian Poetry," "Poetry by Women," and "New Releases" in May 2023.
DIA has a Master's Degree in Ethnomusicology and her research is focused on Italian cultural maintenance around the world. Summer 2023 marked a historic milestone as DIA became the first Italian-Canadian woman to receive the international Dean Martin Prize, followed by the Youth Achievement Award given by the National Congress of Italian Canadians. Both awards acknowledged her remarkable contributions to the arts and music scene while representing her Abruzzese and Italian origins.
DIA has been a featured performer at popular festivals worldwide, in Canada, USA, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, France, Panama, and Italy. Her performance at the PanAmerican Games was broadcast on national TV across North America, South American, Central America and the Caribbean. DIA has also performed as the opening act for American artists Robin Thicke and Bob Saget; Canadian artists Jully Black and Karl Wolf; Italian artists Max Gazzè, Pooh, Cugini di Campagna, Bobby Solo, Riccardo Fogli, and Al Bano; and Iranian artists Andy, Siavash Ghomayshi, and Babak Amini. Her musical collaborations also include Latin Grammy and Juno award winners.
DIA's creative footprint extends to film and television, notably contributing her voice and songwriting to the soundtrack of the Canadian/Dutch/Italian feature film "Tulipani: Love Honour and a Bicycle," presented at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival.
